All of our families who host international students receive monetary compensation for hosting a student with EF.

We ask that our families hosting students with us provide each student with: EF staff will be with you every step of the way when hosting students: helping you select the host student that best fits your family; guiding you through your student’s transition to their new country; introducing you to other families in your community; and organizing optional fun excursions.

You can be absolutely certain that when you host international students with EF, our staff is always available for you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week via a special hotline.

Prior consideration should be given to accommodations for international visitors.

While in most instances local hotels within walking distance of the university will be adequate, factors such as the position/status of the visitor(s), relative importance of the visit to GSU, and nature of accommodations afforded to comparable GSU visits to the visitor’s country also will need to be considered.

We want every host student and every family hosting foreign students to be fully satisfied with their homestay arrangement, and we work hard to find the perfect match for both student and host.

These extraordinary young people from countries all over the world receive a highly competitive, merit-based scholarship from the U. Department of State to attend local high schools and live with families in urban, rural, and suburban communities in all 50 states.

These exchange students participate in the Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange (CBYX), Future Leaders Exchange (FLEX), and Youth Exchange and Study (YES) Programs.

And though no one in the industry is complaining about this rosy outlook, the strong demand is increasing competition among meeting planners across the board for the most desirable locations, for the best hotels, for the most creative experiences, for the most talented chefs, and for the best technology available.

Because of this robust demand, hotels are in the drivers seat and they are flexing their collective muscles.
